Best of 2013: Clothes

It's so hard to believe 2013 is almost over! I've been reminiscing on the past year a lot lately and honestly, 2013 treated me pretty well. There's always ups and downs but this has definitely been one of the best years form me thus far! It's so weird to think next year I'll be halfway done with my first year of law school and living in unknown city (as of now). So many changes! Since clothes are one of my biggest passions (I would argue that shopping is a hobby, maybe even a sport) I decided to compile a list of all my favorite clothes I've gotten within the past year.

1. The first item is SO easy. My roommates and I call this dandy "the magic sweater." I have never been so obsessed with an item of clothing like this sweater. I own three out of the four colors, only because I haven't been able to find the fourth color in my size. On the hanger it looks pretty ordinary but I picked it up because it was so incredibly soft. The second I tried it on, I was sold. It's THE perfect oversized sweater and surprisingly so flattering on. It's long enough to wear with leggings (love) so that's what I pair it with as well as a scarf and riding or combat boots. Seriously the easiest outfit to throw together, I probably wear that combo at least twice a week. I buy my sweaters from a store in Minnesota called Len but I found it online and that's actually less expensive too. I have the black, grey, and navy ones! If you're in need a sweater, I would highly recommend this one. I believe Nordy's also sells this brand but I couldn't find the exact sweater on their website.

2. I'm a pretty avid riding boot fan but I invested in these babies this fall and could not be happier with them. I feel like the combat boot trend kind of hit last year but every single shoe store and department store started carrying them this year. I found it difficult to find a pair that was different than the one (Steven Madden) pair I saw literally everyone wearing. Finally I found this pair at Aldo and fell in love with the dark burgundy color. I wear a lot of black and grey so I thought these would be a nice pop of color for my wardrobe. I loved this pair from Aldo as well but I already have a few pairs of boots in that color. I've had a lot of fun incorporating these combat boots into my wardrobe!

3. Every girl needs a little black dress and I stumbled upon this classic at Nordstrom Rack. I've always been a fan of Diane von Furstenberg but this was my first DVF purchase! Her clothes are absolutely beautiful and so well made, which usually means they're out of my price range. I certainly wasn't looking for a LBD but it was so gorgeous and I knew this style of dress would look great on. This is why I generally don't try something on if it's out of my price range because I guarantee, it will ALWAYS look amazing. Definitely was an investment to say the least but it was worth the splurge and because it's such a classic, I know I'll have it for a long time.

4. I've never been much of a watch person but that has certainly changed this year. Another steal from Nordstrom Rack, I wear this Kate Spade watch everyday now. I actually wear more gold jewelry than silver, I think gold is making comeback :) I like pairing it with other bracelets and it's pretty much an essential to my wardrobe now. A black Kate Spade watch is next on my list! Please and thanks Santa.

5. This one is easy too. I really hate jeans, HATE them. They're terribly uncomfortable. I do think leggings are pants (as long as your butt is covered) and I wear leggings wayyy more than I wear jeans...until now. These are the softest pair of jeans I've ever worn and if I didn't know better, I would think they were pajama jeans. Super flattering on too so that's just another plus! I got this pair of Hudson's at a boutique in my hometown and I don't think I'll ever be able to wear a different pair of jeans again. Since I don't wear jeans that often, it's hard for me to justify paying $189 per pair (mine were 50% off at the boutique). Nordstrom Rack and Off Saks Fifth Avenue are usually my go to for designer jeans and they do carry Hudson's but I've yet to find a pair as soft as mine. Hopefully if I keep looking, I'll find another pair!

Side note: I also recently discovered AG Jeans and they are wonderful. I got this pair from (surprise, surprise) Nordstrom Rack, didn't realize how obsessed with that store I was! The olive color looks great with all my black/grey/cream tops. The material is a stretch sateen so they're soft, almost velvety, and unbelievable comfortable. Didn't realize comfort was such a stable for me either! I'd definitely recommend trying Hudson or AG for denim if you're looking for a new brand.

That pretty much sums up my favorites from 2013! I guess these are all more fall and winter clothes but it's hard to even remember wearing summer clothes right now! I am looking forward to Spring Break when I can break out my Lilly, colored denim, whites, and Jacks though :)

Merry Christmas everyone! Hope everyone is enjoying the holidays.

Spring awakening

Has it really been JANUARY since my last post?! Honestly, I don't know where the time goes these days. In a couple weeks, I'll be done with my junior year at the University of Minnesota - how crazy! I don't think I'm ready for senior year, the thought of graduating is absolutely terrifying. So not ready to leave college but it's a good thing I'm going to law school so I'll have another 3 years to avoid the real world. Anyway, after what feels like an eternity spring has finally decided to hit Minnesota! Mind you we had snow on Monday...but the forecasts show the warmish weather is here to stay and I couldn't be more thrilled! Summer actually can't get here soon enough. I thought I would post a list of all my spring essentials.

1) Self tanner! I'm so over the winter whiteness of my skin and this lotion makes you look like you just vacationed in some tropical paradise. It is by far the best I've ever tried! It comes out dark so you can see where you've already applied it and it lasts a while! Also smells pretty good :)
2) Sperrys. It's definitely Sperry season by now but I've been wearing mine since mid March - oops! I've never been happier to put away my Uggs and riding boots. Just picked up this pair from Nordstrom and I'm anxiously waiting to break them in :)
3) Jacks! I'm preparing for summer a little early by getting a new pair of Jack Rogers right now. I got this pair from Last Call by Neiman Marcus 30% off! The sale is still going on so if you click on the link it'll take you right to the website!
3) LILLY. This is an obvious one but it's finally season appropriate (in Minnesota) to wear Lilly, yay! I got the most amazing Lilly dress that I'm wearing for formal and I couldn't be more thrilled about it.

4) Colored jeans. Just like last year, I'm still equally obsessed with all of my neon and pastel colored jeans.

5) Lighter hair! This mostly applies to ladies who color their hair (I love dying mine) but with the summer months quickly approaching I had my stylist add a bunch of highlights in my hair and I've never been happier with how my hair looks. I tend to keep it a chestnut or dark brown during the fall and winter but I'm loving how light it is right now. Who knows, maybe I'll be blonde soon? ;)

6) A good pedicure. This is something every girl needs to treat herself too before summer comes! Pretty toes are an essential since I'm going to be breaking out sandals and wedges soon. Plus who doesn't like getting pampered?

Even writing this is getting me so excited for the upcoming spring and summer months! I hope you all are as excited as I am :)

Crazy for chambray

Hey loves!

Hope everyone had a great new year and happy holidays! I know I'm excited for 2013, most especially because I'll be turning 21 on Monday! Woo! Haha anyways...my mom and I usually do a weekend shopping trip for my birthday but this year we decided to do a fun little day trip down to Milwaukee. We discovered a HUGE Anthropologie store, which I'm so in love with it's insane. Seriously if I could live in that store, I totally would. It was here where I found the most amazing chambray shirt ever. For quite a while now, I've been wanting one because it's a quintessential piece in every prep's wardrobe. However, finding the perfect chambray shirt has not been the easiest task. Most that I've tried on have not looked very attractive on me, I don't know what it is but they're too stiff and just don't fit in the right places. I look like I'm wearing a men's shirt, it's been a very depressing hunt for one of these haha BUT the Cloth and Stone shirt I found at Anthropologie was sheer perfection. For one, it's chambray with polka dots, I couldn't dream up a better combination. And second, the material is so soft and a lot more relaxed than normal chambray shirts so it looked great on! Here's a pic, I love that the polka dots are smaller and a little more subtle as compared to the Gap one below that I tried on last week. Excuse my poor photography skills but this shirt isn't on the Anthro website.

Don't get me wrong, I'm obsessed with this Gap chambray shirt. I would've bought it if I didn't look so terrible in it but there's something about the more subdued polka dots that I like so much more. Another random note, Gap has some amazing spring clothes out right now so if you haven't been in there for a while go check it out! There are these amazing navy ankle pants with little anchors all over them that I'm in love with. Needless to say, I'm beyond excited to wear my new chambray shirt, especially with all my colored and white jeans in the summer! Other quality purchases from the shopping trip were from Lululemon and J. Crew! I'm thrilled about the hot pink toothpick jeans I got from J. Crew for $16! So insane!

Also, what did everyone get from the Lilly sale?! This is the dress I got :)

SO glad to be blogging again, happy shopping ladies!

It's the most craftiest time of the year...

With the holidays quickly approaching, it's time to start figuring out what gifts I'm going to give everyone this year. As much as I love shopping for myself (and that's a lot) it's so much more rewarding to surprise friends and family with that perfect gift! However, doing that on a college student budget is not the easiest of tasks. Lately, I've been spending a lot of my time thinking of great crafts I can make for people instead of buying something. It not only saves me a ton of money but it's fun to do and it allows me to personalize the gifts! I'm still searching for ideas on Pinterest and Etsy but these are a couple crafts that I've done lately.

I made these chevron wooden letters for my little as an early Christmas present!

I also learned how to make bows recently so I've been making a ton for myself but they're great little gifts to add on to presents

This was an early Christmas present from my best friend! I love the monogram and my favorite Lilly print in the middle

Anyone else doing any homemade gifts for the holidays?

A quick hello and today's steals!

Hello loves!

Wow seriously how long has it been since my last post?! This semester is just flying by, I can't believe it's almost winter break (and my birthday!). I really miss the blogging world and I'm definitely going to try and make this blog more of a priority starting now! With finals week approaching, I don't feel nearly as prepared as I should for my exams but hopefully it'll be a productive week :) In more exciting news, my sorority's initiation week was absolutely amazing and I got another little! She's absolutely adorable and we are two peas in pod so I couldn't be happier. We are both avid country fans and are attending the CMT Jake Owen, Love and Theft, and Florida Georgia Line concert this Thursday in Minneapolis! SO beyond thrilled to throw on my cowboy boots and see all those sexy men perform live. I'm anticipating it will be an amazing concert and I'll definitely let you guys know how it went on Friday.

Now, I love bargains just as much as the next shopaholic but today I got some incredible (and unexpected) deals from the one and only Ann Taylor! I consider myself kind of an expert in finding great clothes for affordable prices. I would much rather catch an Ann Taylor/J. Crew sale than buy things for the same price at Forever 21. Not trying to knock Forever 21, I do like to buy certain things there but for me, quality always comes before quantity. My first rule of thumb for finding good deals is to shop in stores, working retail has taught me that the actual stores ALWAYS have better deals than the websites do. Case in point, I bought a dress from Banana Republic this summer for $12 in store while it was still "on sale" online for $70. Craziness I know and I see it happen all the time. Anyway, today Ann Taylor had 25% off their sale items so these are the dandies I picked up!

This blouse is actually navy blue with the coral and white details, not black, which gives it a much more preppy/nautical look! Totally my style so obviously I had to get this at a mere $11.

This adorable sweater is going to go with some Banana Republic burgundy cigarette pants for Christmas :) unfortunately, you can't see the back detail but there's a bow tie at the top and the whole back is sheer - love! This again was only $11.

My last sale purchase was this burgundy top (can you tell I'm obsessed with this color?) which is a great causal top for me to wear to class! I seriously wear these kind of oversized, comfy tops to class everyday and how could I not buy it for $7?!

I couldn't resist putting up some of Ann Taylor's new arrivals as well. They're featuring this mint color, which is my absolute favorite color of all time. I couldn't justify buying any of it though because 1.) my budget would not allow this and 2.) I don't think it's a very season appropriate color (especially the pants) I just wouldn't feel right wearing pastel before Spring came! Call me crazy but it's almost as bad as wearing white this time of year...almost...

Anyone else finding any awesome deals lately? Let me know what you think about mine!

Oh, it's good to be back :) xoxo,

Flats on flats on flats

Hey lovies! I hope everyone's enjoying their weekend, I've been waiting for what seems like forever for it to finally get here! I'm still extremely stressed and busy with school, my sorority, tennis, and working (not to mention trying to keep up with friends and family!) I feel like I literally never have a free moment and it's still soo overwhelming dealing with everything right now. If anyone has any good tips for relieving stress, that's not time consuming, I would love to get some advice! On a brighter note, one AMAZING thing I did this week was attend an impromptu afternoon concert held by Hunter Hayes! He was in town with Carrie Underwood and did a pre-show performance at a local bar/restaurant. A couple friends and I heard about it on the radio the morning of and decided to skip class and take a little adventure! It was great because it was at noon on a Thursday so it was a very exclusive and private show. I absolutely adore him so seeing him in that intimate of a setting was the best experience ever!

I just love him so much

Another reason I've been looking forward to this weekend is because my mom, grandma, and aunt came into town yesterday! We spent the day shopping which was exactly what I needed to get my mind off this crazy week. I made some great purchases but I think my favorite was my new Cole Haan ballet flats (dying with excitement inside) from Nordstrom Rack! I've been wanting a nice pair of flats forever and I'm so happy I found a quality pair and got the best deal on them :) I feel like it's the perfect weather for flats right now because it's still a smidge too warm to wear boots, my feet and legs get way too hot! I'm a little obsessed with flats right now which is funny because I used to hate them - I thought they made my feet look big...haha but now I definitely appreciate them and their classiness so much more! Here are some more amazing flats that I'm lusting over, if only I had unlimited funds to buy them! Oh well, it makes getting a really nice part that much more special. The middle, shimmery ones are the ones I bought today :)

Favorite flats
Tory Burch flat heels, $290 / Sam Edelman animal print ballet flat / Vera Wang ballet flat shoes / Kate Spade wedge heel shoes / Cole Haan grey ballet flat / Kate Spade ballet shoes flat

Let me know what you think and enjoy this beautiful weekend!

Signature Scents

One of my favorite beauty essentials is perfume. I love love love perfume and finding that perfect scent for myself. I've acquired quite a collection over the years and realized how important it is to find perfume that will actually last you that long. It's definitely not a cheap thing to buy so it's a waste if I only use it for a month then get sick of it - for example, I have full bottles of Paris Hilton and Glow by J. Lo collecting dust at home. Now, I feel like I've finally found a couple signature scents that I absolutely love and know that have the potential to last me late into my twenties. These are all my favorite perfumes and I love them for different reasons. I have all of them minus Daisy by Marc Jacobs but if I had an unlimited budget to spend on perfume, I'd buy it for sure! I have two other favorites that are missing, Lust by Lush Cosmetics and Turquatic by MAC. They're both roll ons that I keep in my make up bag which makes them so easy to bring travelling plus seriously no one has either of these so they're a bit unique :)

Signature Scents
Christian Dior perfume / Sarah Jessica Parker perfume / Juicy Couture perfume / Marc Jacobs daisy fragrance / Kate Spade perfume

What is your go-to perfume?!

Friday fun & some fab giveaways

Happy Friday y'all! This has been one crazy busy week, I've successfully moved back onto campus, completed my sorority's polish week, and managed to snag something from the Lilly summer sale in the process. But before I get started on that, I want to tell everyone about two awesome giveaways going on this week.

First head on over to Sweet, Pink and Preppy and enter her giveaway for a Lilly Pulitzer Murfette Scarf! Obviously, I love anything Lilly but these scarves are such an easy piece to add some color to any outfit. I also love that it's more lightweight so you can wear it during the spring and summer.

And lastly, head over to the The Preppy Student and enter her giveaway for a Southernly Stated Pocket Tee. The story behind Southernly Stated is precious and I'm obsessed with all the tanks and tee's on the website!

So this was my first year participating in the Lilly Endless Summer Sale and it was INSANE. Unfortunately, I couldn't get on the site as early as I wanted but I was finding soo many cute (and ridiculously cheap) items. However, as I was browsing the site I realized that pretty much every couple minutes, items would start disappearing from my cart. I lost 2 dresses and a top within 5 minutes so needless to say I was freaking out. As disappointing as that was, I was able to get this adorable tube top!

Another great item I got this week was this Monogrammed Champion Wristlet from Marley Lilly. How cute are these?! And for $15 I couldn't pass it up! I chose the purple wristlet and it'll have my monogram, rFe, stitched in white.

I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my Lilly top and monogrammed wristlet. What did everyone else get from the Lilly Summer Sale?! And make sure to enter the two giveaways I mentioned earlier :)

Fall finds!

As quickly as fall is approaching, I can't help but feel sooo much excitement about the upcoming season! I love everything about fall - school starts, it's football season, the weather is gorgeous, but most importantly I LOVE fall clothes. The layering, scarf, and boot possibilities are endless! I'm always looking at Pinterest to get ideas for future outfits.

I seriously live to wear riding boots, they go with everything! Another fall favorite of mine is wearing dresses and tights. I have a pair of cashmere tights that are to die for :) I highly suggest them y'all. Mine are Betsey Johnson from Nordstrom Rack and they were like $12! Easily worth the luxurious feeling I get when I wear them. Last year I wore my over the knee, Vince Camuto boots pretty much everyday. As a result of that, they've gotten pretty beat up so I've had to invest in another pair...

Cue Frye boots. I've been obsessed with Frye boots ever since I discovered this magical place I like to call Nordstrom's shoe department. Not only are they great quality boots but they are SO cute. They are however, ridiculously expensive. They finally went on sale enough during this year's Nordstrom Anniversary Sale that I could justify buying them. Aren't they amazing?!

Another fall essential is a great trench. I got my black one last year from the Banana Republic Factory Store for a steal of about $20! I think they're so classic and again, look great with riding boots! Since I wore mine so much last year, I wanted to get another this year but a little bit thicker (mine's particularly thin). I didn't want black either, khaki was option until I saw this gorgeous trench at Banana while I was working.

The burgundy color looks so good on and I think it will be a really popular color this fall. I also love that it's a little shorter than traditional trenches. I'm pretty thin so those usually overwhelm my figure too much. Ahh I'm just in love with this coat :)

Next on my fall list: a pair of good flats! I'm thinking Tory's... As always, let me know what you think! I love love love hearing from y'all!

Product Review: BR Softwashes

Happy Thursday my lovely readers! I'm dedicating this post to my latest obsession, men's softwash shirts. Yes, they're men shirts and from Banana Republic obviously! Now from time to time, when the mall isn't exactly hopping (Monday nights) I find myself folding endlessly for hours. Once that gets boring, I do what I do best, shop. It's dangerous for me to work retail! ;) I recently happened upon the men's softwash shirts and I'm not kidding you these are THE softest shirts EVER. I'm hooked. I love the little bit looser fit, they're perfect for whenever I want to go a little bit casual. Seriously though, I wish I had a boyfriend just so I could buy these for him and then take them haha.

I also love all the adorable colors the tee comes in. I have the purple one pictured above and I've been meaning to buy another one, I just can't decide what color! I'm thinking maybe a basic white since I tend to wear them with my bright norts! What do y'all think? Which colors do you like best?

If you haven't seen these shirts before go check them out! I promise they won't disappoint :)

Travel Essentials: Part 1

So I know I've been relatively absent lately but I've been traveling so much! I figured this presented a great opportunity for me to do a post about all of my travel essentials. There's way too many things I love for traveling to put into one post so I'll be doing two! Part 1 will be all essential suitcases/bags/totes that make my trips a little less stressful and are just all around life savers.

1. Vera Bradley Large Duffel Bag - this duffel is the perfect weekend bag. I don't like to use large rolling suitcases when I'm only going somewhere for a weekend, they're just inconvenient and heavy. What I love about the duffel (besides the obvious - it's adorable) it that it fits SO much stuff in it. I'm a notorious over-packer so having a lot of space is ideal for me. It's also easy to carry around, it has large straps that easily go over your shoulder. Lastly, it's bright, cute, and looks great in the backseat of my car :) I'll make a note that I use this duffel for weekend road trips only. The website says it's carry-on compliant but I don't believe that's the case, there's no way you'd be able to carry this large of a duffel on a plane. I would also never check this bag because I've seen Vera duffels get ruined (the handle got detached from the bag) because of the not so gentle handling from airline employees. However, I make weekend trips much more often than I do week long vacations so I definitely have gotten my money's worth out of this bag. This is the exact size and print that I have :)

2. Lilly Pulitzer Insulated Cooler - this is another essential bag I like to bring on trips with me, plus it's Lilly so I already adore it. What I really love is the insulation, you can use it in multiple scenarios. The first one is obvious, for any type of beach/lake trip the cooler is ideal for holding drinks, refrigerated snacks, and such. So easy to pack up and throw it in the boat. Another practical use I've found is for carrying cosmetics and hair products. It's so nice to have them separate from my clothes because all too often something spills and ruins whatever it's next to in the suitcase. Any spillage in the cooler though can be easily wiped off and nothing gets ruined! I also enjoy the bottle opener that comes attached to the bag, how convenient... :)
3. Longchamp Le Pliage Tote - okay I'm obsessed with my Longchamp. Before I purchased one, I didn't really understand the hype but I've had mine for almost a year now and I'm so in love. I use it for school, work, traveling, running errands, you can use this bag for literally any ocassion. The size is absolutely perfect and the material of the bag lets you easily wash off stains. I made the mistake of bringing mine to a party once and some drunk idiot spilt beer all over it (I know right, so annoying) however, I used a washcloth and water to clean it the next day and it looked like brand new! Anyway, it's perfect for traveling because I can fit my magazines, Nook, water bottle, and anything I forgot to put in my other suitcase in there. My Longchamp is always my carry on bag when I fly.

This is the exact Longchamp I have :) I'm in love with the color because it's so different - it's discontinued now so I rarely see ladies with the same one! Also, if you're looking to buy a Longchamp but don't want to shell out $125 keep an eye out at big department stores' outlets. I got mine from Off Saks Fifth Avenue (one of my favorite stores) for $98! They definitely don't carry them often but that's where you should look if you want to find them on sale.

Alright, so I've covered all essential bags and duffels for traveling - stay tuned for Part 2 which will cover essential clothes and cosmetics for traveling! And let me know what you think of my picks :)

OOTD

I finally have a day off work! I'll be spending this lovely day out at my cousin's house for his high school graduation party. I haven't seen my extended family in a while so I'm beyond thrilled I'm not stuck working in the mall today. I'm even more excited that I have a new outfit to wear :) As most of y'all know I work part time at Banana Republic and I adore the Trina Turk line (a couple outfits pictured above) that came out for the summer! Banana was genius bringing in Trina to design a summer line, the clothes have been selling like crazy. I finally gave in and bought a pair of sateen shorts and a silk bow tank to go with it. Forgive the bad quality picture of the shorts, they're no longer available on the Banana Republic website so I just had to Google them haha they are much cuter in person.

Now I want to start doing actual OOTD's instead of just posting the pictures from the websites. Bear with me here but how does one take the OOTD pictures so it has like the 3 different frames? This is kind of a stupid question but I'm not sure! If anyone could enlighten me on this subject I would very much appreciate it :) Are y'all familiar with the Trina Turk line at Banana? Let me know what you think of it!

My favorite hobby

Happy Saturday lovebugs! Hope you all are enjoying your weekend, I spent the entire day yesterday at the Mall of America so I definitely am :) As I've mentioned previously, I'm quite the shop-a-holic. I take after my mother in this aspect and we often shop at a lot of the same stores. I like to think that I have pretty good taste in clothing, which can sometimes be considered both a blessing and a curse (it gets so expensive!) but I've gotten pretty good at finding deals at all my favorite stores. I tend to prefer quality over quantity when it comes to shopping. I've found that classic, well made clothes not only last a lot longer but they stay in style and I don't get sick of them after 2 months.

I was pretty successful in my mall trip yesterday, I got some great pieces and I think I stayed under $200! I managed to find everything I bought online so I get to show them off to y'all :) here's what I got...

Red Sateen Crops from Banana Republic. I've been lusting over these pants for months now but we've never had my size in our store. I have a love/hate relationship with Banana's pants. Normally, I wear a size 0 but their pants are just huge on me, I have no idea why. Size 0 is usually the smallest size my store carries so I always freak out when we have 00's in because those have a much better chance of fitting me. The same thing is true with petits, I can usually wear petit crops and capris where the length doesn't matter as much. Anyway, the gods of shopping must have been smiling on me yesterday because I found these amazing crops on sale in a size 00P for $35.99! Seriously such a good deal and they fit perfect! Add my 10% discount to that and they ended up being around $32.

Hot Pink Cotton-Stitch Sweater from J. Crew. The color is brighter and more neon in person and I absolutely love it. It'll be perfect for summer nights with white jeans! It has kind of the crocheted, knitted look which I'm so obsessed with right now. It reminds me of a top I got from Gap recently too, which is the second picture. I actually have the top in white but you can see the nice details a lot better in this color.

Neon Orange Scoop Neck T and White Denim Shorts from Gap. I've been finding so many things I love at Gap recently which is really nice because I get 50% off everything full price there from working at Banana! I buy all of my basics at Gap, they seriously have the softest tee's. Not to mention, their entire store is full of neon clothes right now so I'm all over that!

Reflection Top from Ann Taylor. The Mall of America recently opened a new Ann Taylor store and I've got to say, I was pretty impressed. The set up actually looks a little bit more like The Loft, they're breaking the store up by casual, dressy, and work clothes. The variety is definitely something Ann Taylor needed and I think they're trying to appeal to a younger generation now as well. This top is adorable, I love putting a little bit of sparkle in my wardrobe!

Vibrant Fringe Necklace from Forever 21. I'm not the most fond of shopping at Forever 21 mainly because the clothes aren't that high of quality and it's so messy, I don't like having to dig through racks of clothes. I do have a couple cute things from there and I know a lot of people that like the store I just don't think it's worth the time you have to put into it to find something cute. On the other hand, I do love their accessories. I buy a lot of my headbands there and I'm trying to grow my jewelry collection - you can't beat their prices. I found this necklace for $6.80!

And that's everything I bought this weekend! Let me know what you think!
