Book Club!

Today I'll be linking up with Heather at Blonde...Undercover Blonde for my very first Book Club Friday. I was just thinking to myself I should start blogging about books because 1.) I absolutely LOVE reading and 2.) now that school is finally over I actually have the time to do it!

Much to my despair, I recently found out that one of my new favorite TV shows, GCB, has been cancelled by ABC. I was pretty surprised by this because I know a lot of people that love and watch the show religiously...no pun intended :) On the other hand, some people think the show is a little controversial and offensive but personally, I think it's supposed to be taken with a grain of salt and enjoyed for it's entertainment value. Anyway, I'm really hoping a different channel will pick it up because it's such hilarious show and the entire cast is sheer perfection. So why you might ask does this have anything to do with Book Club Friday? Well because I decided since I can't watch GCB anymore, I'll read it! The show on ABC was inspired by Kim Gatlin's novel, Good Christian Bitches. I'm only a couple chapters in but it seems like the show followed the book pretty closely, most of the characters have the same names too! I'm SO excited to read the rest of the book and I'll definitely let y'all know what I think about it.

Monograms

As many of you may already know (and feel the same way!) I'm totally obsessed with all things monogrammed and personalized. One of my favorite websites, Etsy, has made it ridiculously simple and easy to get anything personalized! This week, dWa at Prep In Your Step is doing a fantastic giveaway of this monogrammed necklace from Marinette Jewelry on Esty.

Besides this being a wonderful idea (I might have to do the same once I hit 100 followers!) I decided to dedicate this blog post to my favorite monogrammed and personalized items on Esty :)

I waste so much time

So I recently discovered this tumblr site that is absolutely hilarious and I'm a little obsessed with it. This of course happened over finals week when I actually needed to be studying but now that they're over I figured I'd share the site with y'all! It's called That Disney Gif and the description is "because if the Princesses had gone to college, this is how they'd feel too." What I'm listening to

Music plays a pretty big role in my life, I'm constantly listening to something whether I'm getting ready in the morning, walking to class, or studying. It can really brighten up my day or comfort me when I'm feeling down - I literally have every genre of music on my iPod (besides heavy metal, screamo music - there is never a right time for that). A couple of my favorite artists include All Time Low, Luke Bryan, We the Kings, Hey Monday, Taylor Swift, Pistol Annies, and Mac Miller. I often have one or two songs that I'm always playing on repeat until either 1.) I get sick of them or 2.) everyone around me gets sick of listening to them (usually the latter...haha) Anyway, this blog is dedicated to the two songs I'm currently obsessed with :) let me know what you think!

1.) Angel Eyes - Love and Theft: I've been on a country kick lately (probably because it's almost summertime) but I am so in love with this song! Love and Theft recently performed this song on one of the GCB episodes too which made me very happy :)

2.) Payphone - Maroon 5 feat. Wiz Khalifa: this is Maroon 5's latest single, it's seriously SO catchy I've been singing it all day. I usually like Wiz Khalifa but I expected more from his part, however, Adam Levine is simply amazing. This is them performing on The Voice and the sound is a little quiet so you'll have to turn it up :)
